WHO I AM

I am Hillary Kent, founder of Mercantil. For years, I watched designers and developers struggle with the same bottleneck: finding authentic, exceptional pieces for their projects. It requires someone on the ground who knows the makers—not the catalogs.

I built Mercantil to be that person. I work directly with artisans and craftspeople across México and Latin America, maintaining relationships and sourcing standards that ensure every piece is original, purposeful, and exceptional.

MERCANTIL manages sourcing, procurement, logistics, and installation end-to-end, and I lead a team committed to the same uncompromising standard.
